Now that I was able to view this video, I still have concerns that this lady was tazed instead of the ministry and people praying for her first. If there was a controlling demon or a spirit of confusion in this woman, don't you think it would either be cast out or the woman would flee from the Name of Jesus being called over her with anointing oils? Instead you would rather give her to the psychiatric unit of the hospital so your services would not be disrupted?
Your post reminds me of the verses in the Bible about a man in the cave, who nobody could bind or tame saw Jesus afar off and came running to him and worshipped Him. Jesus asked his name, which was Legion, for we are many, it replied. Jesus cast them into the swine which ran into the water and drowned. The people came and saw the one possessed with demons, sane and in his right mind. The people were afraid and besought Jesus to leave.
So this brings up something that I have not thought about much. Why did they ask Jesus to leave?
What an opportunity for the power of God to perform a miracle in this tazered woman's life and for the people who could have witnessed such a miracle to testify it to others about what happened at church this Wednesday evening wasted.
Are we not in the same shape as the people who sought Jesus to leave their coasts?

To compare this trouble maker to the demoniac is a far stretch... apples and oranges. The demon possessed man did not disrupt the worship service, he came worshipping.... far stretch from what this woman was doing. She was disrupting the service, along with being rebellious to those that asked her to stop.
If she had come up asking for prayer, sure, pray for her. I've been in leadership long enough to know the difference of when you just have a nut case spirit looking for attention (which your suggestion would have just fed into) and those seeking a move of God in their lives.
But the wonderful thing about life, we can all have our opinions of how it should be handled. If I had been the pastor/leadership, would have done the exact same thing based on the face value of the article. And you could do what you suggested if you had the opportunity. I wouldn't fault the church no matter which direction they take.

I am reading the article and I do not get these same assumptions as you all out of the article. Perhaps I will view the video when I can get to a place where I can use fast access to see if I come to the same conclusion as you all.

Dialup? Lord I pray you deliver my friend from this horrible situation. I loose DSL to the area, in Jesus name.

Re: Tazed Church Tambourine Player (L)
Thank you Matt. You're a real sweetie.
The cable company told us that if we got 30 families signatures they would consider it. My son did all the leg work. They considered it and said no. What is so bad is that their cable stopped two doors down from us.
AT&T told us back in 2006 that high speed internet will be available everywhere by the end of 2008. They just did not tell us that the "availability" would be the choice of $100 a month satellite or dialup. I don't want high speed for that amount of money. Too expensive. I am frugal.
If we ever get DSL, it will be an answer to your prayer.

We should beseech our Plantation masters, otherwise known as the Democratic party, to pass tambourine-control legislation.
....of course that will only take tambourines out of the hands of the law abiding.

What is scary is that we have preachers who favor pepper spraying and tazing people because they are a disruption to the service.
Gee...what did the churches do before tazer guns?

Pepper spray would NOT be a good idea. In a closed environment it would effect all the people around the perp, errrr, one who needed to be controlled, nearly as the perp himself.
And before tazer guns? Big men using brute strength.

Do the demon possessed know they are possessed?
