The beauty of recording your video on an SD card is that almost all modern computers have built in card readers. If your computer does not have one you can purchase one for about $15 that would plug in your USB port.
Because your video is a file on the SD card it will transfer to your computer much faster than if you were using a camera with video tape which would have to be "captured" in real time.
