I'm with Baron. Just don't see the big deal. Outsourcing at Bain. Money in tax havens. Sounds like good business decisions to me. The fact that he and other businesses practice such things should be a sign of just how messed up this country is. I'm conservative, but I don't blame any business for outsourcing. They do so for the same reasons we have an immigrant problem, because there are jobs that the American people have deemed "beneath" them to do.

You have to ask these questions in reverse. How come businesses have to outsource? Maybe because the American people have gotten lazy. More unions, more pay, more benefits, more rights has equaled less work, less quality, less productivity. All of which cost companies money, which cost us money.

How come businesses keep money overseas? To keep the government from getting it. I don't blame them. I understand the responsibility to pay taxes. But if that money was used for good, in an accountable way then most would not try to keep from paying. The government loses millions of dollars every year. Millions. Lost, in other words, its gone and they have no idea where it went. And yet nothing is done. A business loses millions and heads are gonna roll, people are going to get fired. Government? It's just an accepted loss.

So yeah, send the money overseas. Hopefully one day this country and its government will be worth investing in. Until then, its to be expected. Once again, sounds like a good business decision.

I don't disagree with you here in the least.

Now, let Romney make that argument as well. The public records are not showing what Romney has claimed, that he wasn't part of Bain after 1999. Let him produce those records to clear his name. He was asked by Gingrich to produce his records back in February. So, he's like Obama on accusations, dragging his feet and making his own problems. He could have nipped this in the bud a long time ago.

And let him hit Obama as hard as he did his fellow conservatives during the primaries. That's what I would like to see.

I disagree that there are jobs that americans deemed beneath them to do.
The reason we have an immigration problem is because large corporations do not want to pay a livable wage for Americans to do agricultural and other work.

Small businesses have a hard time paying a livable wage for themselves, much less add an employee or two simply because there are no jobs out there for the economy to hum.

Americans must have a livable wage in order to even comply with the laws that are passed.
Look at what laws are passed in America requiring americans to buy and pay. Most states have mandatory auto insurance laws. Now we have the "Affordable Healthcare Act". Inflated prices on homes, food, fuel etc. Taxes and licenses on just about every activity known in this country.

I live in a "right to work" state. The jobs that were brought here decades ago were done so on the fact that the people would work for lower wages, lower benefits and the unions were barred from penalizing people who wanted to come to work during a strike. This took a lot of the umph out of unions here.

Yet, when the mass exodus of jobs happened, this state, which was the poorest state in the Union before, was hit very very hard. Every small town had factories and jobs, then all of them were gone to the Asian nations.

At that time he wasn't considered an American citizen, nor was he when elected to the Illinois legislature.
