Is there a such thing as radical Christianity any more?

Honestly... in my opinion... if WE (me included) were actually who the Church is supposed to be... in this current Church World and Secular World... it would be very radical compared to what we have.

First of all, you did broad brush. My post unleased this attack from you. So I ask you a question and you call your diatribe a correction? Sorry. You have absolutely no biblical authority to correct me...an elder, and you never will have that authority.

Sister Alvear was asking in the most general terms and you answered in the most general terms.
You've broad brushed by posting 'but sure is one of the main things packed away in all their baggage they take with them' and you now are trying to hide it by ranting at me. Plain and simple. People who accuse others in a rant of 'twisting words' wittingly or unwittingly use sorcery tactics to justify themselves.

After what I've read today from you, I sincerely doubt that you have any gifts of discernment.

I Cor. 2:4 "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power; that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."

Paul understood that it was not merely the words he chose to use which were effective, but it was the spirit in which they were said.

That is my point. Maybe what you are saying has truth, but what about the "spirit" you are exhibiting while speaking?

Consider this carefully.

As should we all, myself included.

Sadly... this organization isn't the Kingdom of Heaven.

I love many members of this organization. But I had to abandon it all for the sake of having Jesus.

No, no organization is the Kingdom of heaven or Kingdom of God (I believe they are the same thing). The Kingdom of God is not something we can see with natural eyes. Only through eyes of faith. We can see the effects of it though. The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but rightousness, peace and joy, in the HOLY GHOST. Too many people look to an organization, or a pastor, or even parents, etc., to save them, but it won't happen. We MUST look unto JESUS, the Author and the Finisher of our faith. We MUST TRUST in the LORD GOD with all our heart and not lean unto our own understanding. We MUST acknowledge Him in all our ways and love and serve HIM with ALL our heart, and HE SHALL direct our paths. Don't look to anyone or anything, BUT LOOK to GOD. I believe the KINGDOM OF GOD/HEAVEN is LIFE IN THE HOLY GHOST! Not just receiving the Spirit of God, but going deeper and deeper IN HIM! READ HIS WORD. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD OF GOD. EAT the WORD. CHEW and DIGEST it. MEDITATE on it, day and night.

Can we say that we are FULL OF THE HOLY GHOST! When a glass is full, there is no room for anything else. We should not be hungering and thirsting for anything else.

My first question is to ask if they by some chance have a reading disability that prohibits them from seeing plain English... the next questions to ask are things like...are you just slow? Did you maybe hit your head today and that has blurred your vision?

And believe me... no vitriol here at all... just plain spoken... that's all.
I read your post exactly as you meant it to be.
You are just backpedaling. You said nothing about counseling others, ministering to others etc in that post. Pony up Robbins.

I think most of the assumptions made is by you, by your own post eh? ...but sure is one of the main things packed away in all their baggage they take with them.

YOU assumed bitterness is one of the main things (reasons) people leave.
You did not clarify yourself and now ducking for cover with accusations.

Disrespecting your elders by calling them slow, having blurred vision or having a disability is not very becoming of a 'man of God'.

...and one may wonder why people leave churches that have men like you 'running' it? Thanks for being an example in this thread.

If people actually say something *radical* like returning to NT principles, then they are.....bitter.

Actually, we all have authority over one another within the body of Christ to correct one another... we all, equally walk in that authority... and are to do so as much as possible.
