MLM people often target church folks. A decade or two ago a man named Dennis Lee toured flyover country hitting small towns selling "dealerships" for he "Free Energy" machines. He made many thousands doing this and people who attended his sales events described them like being at church.

My nephew is doing fantastic with it. Paid his new home off he bought last July. Two new BMW and bought a home in Ca to visit until he can move there.
It takes work and most people expect to just go to the mailbox and get a check

To be sure there are some who get in very early and do work hard, but the vast majority make nothing.

And those that DO make something make it by mostly taking advantage of gullible suckers. IMO no minister should be pushing any type of pyramid scheme.
In Rev. Randys defense, at least he's probably not well informed. The TBN preachers have turned the gospel into their own get rich quick scheme. Dispicable.

It bothers me when I see this in the church. The ministers use "subtle" pressure and get the whole congregation under them and the people in the church don't have anyone else to sign up under them because they don't fellowship w/ the world. But... they have a monthly fee come out of their checking account every month to purchase the "product" that the minister profits off of. I've seen this w/ Mellaluca (sp?) back in the 90's, a few other things after that and now this. It more than bothers me, it disgust me to see ministers use the saints for their gain. There...I said it!

no minister can ever do well in a multi level marketing program without having to take advantage in a compromising way of his relationships around him. It's a conflict of interest for a minister in my mind.
