People on this forum often speak of baptism in the name of Jesus or in Jesus' name.
Which Jesus do they mean?
1. Joshua, the successor to Moses is called Jesus in the New Testament in
Acts 7:45 and in
Hebrews 4:8
2. The Apostle Paul encountered a sorcerer named Bar-jesus in
Acts 13:6
3. The Apostle Paul mentions a minister named Jesus in
Colossians 4:11
4. Our Savior, the son of YHWH and Mary is named Jesus in
Matthew 1:25
5. There are currently many Hispanics named Jesus.
6. If is my understanding that Yeshua/Iesous/Jesus was a very common Jewish name at the time our Savior was born.
