I merged the threads. I think Light thought I wrote that article myself so he wanted to make sure and get his side in.

Re: NJ Town Rejects Non-Union Workers Help
I think I am getting the gist off this political posting thing. Everybody lies.

Communication with Seaside Heights was poor due to lack of cell phone service in the area. Upon arriving at a staging area in Virginia, crews were held in place pending clarification of documents received from IBEW that implied a requirement of our employees to agree to union affiliation while working in the New York and New Jersey areas. It was and remains our understanding that agreeing to those requirements was a condition of being allowed to work in those areas. As we waited for clarification, we became aware that Seaside Heights had received the assistance they needed from other sources. To be clear, at no time were our crews 'turned away' from the utility in Seaside Heights.
"In connection with state and regional public power associations, Decatur Utilities attempted to contact other areas that needed assistance. However, based on the uncertainty of union requirements that we could not agree to and the uncertainty of whether a resolution could be reached, we ultimately made the decision to return them to Decatur after being stalled in the Virginia area most of the day on Thursday."

Light, there were THREE utilities mentioned in the story, two are working, Decatur is returning home.
Get your facts straight.
And PO it says a lot about you that you are now following after what lite says.

If you are interested in the truth then watch the video, then you can apologize for your remark. It all depends if you even care about truth.

Re: NJ Town Rejects Non-Union Workers Help
I have come to the conclusion that ALL media doesn't always fact check their stories, nor are they unbiased. None of them, and people just lie, politics is not about truth from any side.

Our government personally offends me, but we get what we pay for.

But you continue in the bolded above to say help was turned away when it wasn't.

I didn't know that at the time I read the article, Light. I meant found it maddening. And my problem with the whole thing wasn't about union or non union, it was about turning away any help.
