But if you really believe hell is a custom built torture chamber, maybe you should pray such a prayer. Why? Because humans don't have the ability to really embrace such horror at the hands of LOVE. It is clear that we don't really believe it, by the causaul way that we live, even the most intense do not live in a way that reflects the actual horror of the traditional concept of hell.
I recommend: "Raising Hell: Christianity's Most Controversial Doctrine Put Under Fire", it is scriptural and historical proof that the traditional doctrine of hell is not the truth.
Embrace the truth, then you can preach the "Good News" of what God is doing.

One night I thought I had a dream of hell, but then realized I was reading AFF while awake.

I have lived in both Louisiana and Texas. Texas is about 10,000 times better than Louisiana!
Louisiana has some great people and great food but the bottom line is that it is a welfare state. A few decades ago when I moved from La. to Texas I remember it being so nice to go to the grocery store and not see every third of fourth person buying groceries with food stamps. It dawned on me one day in Texas that I had lived there for months and had only seen one person paying with foodstamps. Of course later they came up with those credit card type food stamp cards to replace the paper food stamps so it is not so obvious when someone is paying with them.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Anthony Mangun question
Hell... Being forced to attend service after service and then in one of those services being told from the pulpit "Isn't this glories!!!! Imagine being in heaven and experiencing this for all eternity!".
Granted it may be a BIT better than experiencing fire and brimstone, but not much.
