It was a modern breakthrough in science. Many thought it was a wonderful thing. Now the price is being paid. America took its greatest hit by the BIRTH CONTROL PILL.

When I was young many if not most young women were virgins at marriage. There was a sense of common decency. If someone thought his sister was being used by another guy he was angry about it. Not that all guys were virgins but even many of them (compared to today) were.

When the pill came out IT CHANGED EVERYTHING.

Of course God never was for it. His blessing was to multiply children in history. Young women who beforetimes would have thought twice before committing whoredom began to pursue it. If nothing else the fear of getting pregnant out of wedlock restrained many.

Then when I was a teenager that all changed. Most girls became whores. After all scripture declares one time outside marriage makes one a whore or whoremonger.

As where females played a strong role in keeping the common decency now they could do anything with little consequence and it turned into a great flood of wickedness that has almost entirely "fundamentally transformed" America.

We have now thanks in great measure to this little invention come to the place where whoredom is considered PERFECTLY NORMAL. Matter of fact we have come to the place where all manner of whoredom is acceptable.

What would it take in todays Amerika to be seen as a whore or whoremonger? And yet even the mention of such words now makes one appear as a religous prude and a fanatic.

Women GENERALLY SPEAKING stayed with their husbands. Men GENERALLY SPEAKING stayed with their family before the birth control fueled sexual revolution.

Consider this: There would have never been a sexual revolution without the birth control pill. I say it's invention was the beginning of the end of common decency and the transforming of America into the place it has become. Its not the same America I knew as a young person.

Excellent point. However, I think the pill just allowed people to live out the sin that was already in their hearts. Another contributing factor was the World Wars. Why? Because on the homefront it forced women into the work world. Women began leaving their homes to work to support their families while their husbands were at war. This shattered the social vision that women were to proudly be mothers, wives, and homemakers.

I agree that the pill removes some accountability and inhibition; however, men and women have been immoral since they were created and have never let little things like babies and pregnancies get in their way.

There are all sorts of birth control methods besides the pill, and then there's abortion....

You mean like men already had been doing for thousands of years?

I don't agree with the idea that women hold the keys to the morality of a society. That's a lie from the pit intended to let men eschew their own personal responsibility and blame the woman for their sinful nature. Men were promiscuous and evil before women began taking the pill; the pill allowed some women (who were probably already being promiscuous anyway) to be equally immoral without inhibition.

Further, I don't see what the pill has to do with divorce. Are you opposed to married couples choosing how many children to have?

Correlation does not imply causation. Logical fallacy although interesting to ponder. I think a more interesting thing about the pill is that it sometimes keeps fertilized eggs from implanting and I think sometimes even sheds implanted ones.

Uhhhhhh, I personally think "the Pill" was one of the greatest medical discoveries, only slightly behind Ibuprofen and Novocaine (for the dentist).

The pill turned almost all American women into whores. Thats the point. Evil men were always looking for that certain kind of woman who would play the game. Back then they were harder to find. It carried a bad reputation. After the pill nearly all would.

America is a very evil nation to God. Anyone who does not see that is not my age. I agree the pill only allowed people to do what was in their hearts. However there WAS that restraint. Now there is not. The world has become very different now because of this one thing.

Would anyone agree with me that whoredom has become perfectly normal to the average person? In past generations it was not. The media looks down their noses at ANY suggestion that sex apart from marriage is wrong. Most republican media people are the same way. They feel they are "enlightened" and we are fools, rednecks, and country bumpkins.
