Me too. I would like to go to Sunday morning services, have a pot luck, then spend Sunday afternoon in prayer, worship, singing, fellowship, right into Sunday night services. Would suit me fine. Kind of like our "Unscripted" family prayer meetings. About 4 praise singers sit on the platform at half the normal volume, Some pray and worship, others sit and fellowship, . . . .

Thats something you don't see much of anymore. I was a teenager the last time I sat through a revival that lasted a week or more. Most now days go for a few days and thats it.

Re: Cutting Back On 'Church' Services
I miss Sunday night services. I think the reason many have stopped or cut back on services is due to not just cost of electricity/heating/cooling, but also just lazy saints. People would rather stay home watching tv or on Facebook than worshipping with other believers.

I had thought of that and forgot to say it.

Re: Cutting Back On 'Church' Services
Our church back home in Dc had evening service while I attended, it always got cancelled because we were always having something going on during the week and my pastor didn't want to tire out the saints too much. Here we have barely nothing throughout the week and have two services. It's a tradition. Granted when I've heard testimonies of people in third world countries walking miles every sunday morning starting at the crack of dawn with their families just to get to church, being there half the day and walking back by dawn, it kind of puts the whole "I'm tired" argument to shame. Lazy westerners we are indeed.

Re: Cutting Back On 'Church' Services
So if those attending TWO services are more spiritual than those attending one, does that make the person attending 19 a week more spiritual then the person who is only going to 18?
And what IS more important? Spending family time together or endless hours of in church?
