I have to say, I agree with Lacey on this one.......

The only two "church sponsored" Super Bowl parties I've attended had a short testimony/devotional time for the half time show. As for commercials... we're grown ups... it's a fact of life. You can't walk through the mall without suggestive images.

Yes, but you don't have to bring it into the church. You can control your environment....

"Bring it into the church"???

What are you talking about... a silly building we tend to glorify over others... or the body of believers???

Where ever two or more are gathered in His name... there, my friend, is a "church".

One thing I remember mentioned during a half time devotional was the "worldliness" in advertising. It was addressed.

Please note... I'm a die hard house churcher.

You know exactly what I'm talking about. I agree with your premise, but if you have a "church" and that "church" meets in a building, you really are unwise to bring things into that building that don't promote Biblical values.....regardless of the fact that people can watch those things in their homes, and see ungodly things at the mall........and you know this just as well as I do.

I can see your point. There are commercial-free feeds aren't there? If so, a church could host their party with little fear of the commercials.

....Or, the people can do what WE do and DVR the first 45 minutes or so and have a whole lot of fun with the skip button.
