Margie, do you guys have a local feed store? You might find some interesting things there....

Ours sells used saddles--wouldn't it be cute if you could borrow/rent a saddle from someone--or even from a store--for pictures?

Thanks for the clarification. I like the idea of a single container per person, but yes, it would be an unnecessary expense, not to mention storage later. I guess if I was going to use them on a buffet, I would prefer baskets with a large weave. Baskets seem to lend a softness to the atmosphere.

I love food screens. Picnics are ruined for me if there is nothing covering the food. When we have church picnics, I'm stalking the food table putting foil and saran wrap back over everything that gets uncovered.

Maybe she was griping because she didn't know what it was...and that was incredibly bad form to gripe about a secret sister gift knowing it could have come from anyone in the room!!!

I love these little arrangements--I don't think they suit Margie's thing, but I love them. (especially the roses and ranunculus/peonies)
