Re: Where Are The Real Apostolics?
following Jesus, maybe you ought to get into the streets to see that some of your superficial teachings about the outward appearance will not work on the desperate, the dejected, the drug addict, the homeless, the people who have been abandoned by religion in their darkest hour.

Do they greet each other with a kiss?

But the bible says the church should greet each other with a kiss

Re: Where Are The Real Apostolics?
I've only been around here for a year and have posted only 5 or 6 times. I figured out pretty quickly that "old school" apostolics are a minority.
I am about as conservative as they come. Acts 2:38, Deuteronomy 6:4, holiness, living for Jesus, plain old modesty, good old fashioned repentance in a pentecostal altar. Good church services where the Holy Ghost is so thick you can almost see the flames. Not just a relationship with God, but a WALK with God like Enoch had is what I'm striving for. I want to be "more than conqueror."
I don't believe in compromising with the world to make them comfortable. But I also know from experience that you cannot spiritually beat on people to show them Jesus. There's a perfect balance there that has to be found. Some people respond well to rougher treatment to snap them to their senses, "Buddy, you're living wrong and can't make heaven this way!" Some need to be led gently by the hand, "Brother, we love you and Jesus loves you but let's talk about some things you should pray for help with." I've seen people saved both ways. That's why there are different preachers with different personalities.
There are a few of us conservatives around but not many and we're mostly quiet.

Re: Where Are The Real Apostolics?
The big city is a different breed of folks, even though they have the same sins as the ones in the small cities. Many are cynical because they have been let down by all the systems out there. You will never know until you live among them.
Look. I am not your enemy. It seems as though you try to make people who do not ascribe to your belief to be your enemy by hurling names and accusations at them.
It doesn't matter that you refer to people like me to be not true Apostolic. That is very mild compared to some of the stuff Oneness Apostolics have spewed about me and others who left their ranks. Some of the things I have heard about others is very vile coming from the mouths of Holy Ghost filled tongue-talkers.
Gee. One would think that true Apostolics would practice what they preach about loving in the bible instead of harping about the physical standards all the time. The fruits of some of these people were showing through their physical disguise is disgusting. Had I not had personal experiences with God, my own miracles that HE provided for me, it would have pushed me over the cliff.
Being called backslid and bitter does not affect me anymore because I know my Jesus was lied upon in a much worse manner. I try to explain the way things are to Apostolics. Some listen and are kind. Others are stiff-necked and choose to be dogmatic. I let them go like a grain of sand in the wind.
However, I continue to try to reach OP into learning something much deeper in the Word and not just a grocery list of do's and don'ts. Physical works Paul is talking about does not match the dogma of the OP Church.

I believe in all that, but I'm considered to be a Moderate.
