Holiness... surrendering self to Jesus. Loving God with all one's being and loving others as themselves. That's true "holiness", not standards. Jesus and the Apostles themselves couldn't get licensed with the UPCI. They UPCI wouldn't think that they were charismatic hippies.

There's the problem.......everyone's "within reason" is different...........

The apostles couldn't get license with the UPCI because the apostles were dead when the UPC was first formed.

I still see the UPCI is the preferred whipping boy around here.

Good Grief!

The same verse against dropping acid.

Wisdom is justified by her children.

This is acceptable from you. You're consistent with your diet.

It's really stupid for an obese person that drowns in lattes and hashbrowns every morning to take a stand against tobacco and alcohol consumption.

No doubt, abuse is abuse.

When you can't fit into your pants it isn't because you're still a growing boy.

Problem is, if we use that logic, we should preach against too much red meat, fried foods, soda pop, processed foods, sugar, and the list goes on........I know the old "don't defile the temple" justification.....but, it seems to only apply to certain things.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think anyone would have to be an idiot to try and justify cigarettes, just based on health risks.......let common sense take over once in a while........but, to say "lost as two boys kissing"?

I just don't see the correlation......
