We don't need any more English translations. We have way too many as it is.
Personally, I think in King James because that's my go-to most of the time. But I also recognize the language can be offputting to people who aren't as literate as I am (I could read on a college level in 6th grade). Also, I'm acutely aware that the maps of the languages are so very different--English didn't even exist when the Gospels were written. Even in modern language translation (e.g., English to Spanish, etc.), there isn't a one-to-one equivalence.
**It's also worth noting that the KJV used today in the USA is almost 99.9 percent the version of 1769, not the version of 1611. Very few people have a facsimile of the 1611 version. I don't know anyone who publishes a typeset version of the 1611 version, because that would involve using certain letters that have dropped out of modern English, most notably long-S, which looks like a lower-case script f without the line across it.
