I do not believe sexual perversion is a normal work of the flesh where some saint has to battle with thoughts of perversion throughout their life. And to imply that it is really says you think homosexality is normal which it is not. The homosexual needs deliverance not appeasement.
ok, i can see deliverance from demonic oppression not being the same as daily mortification, but the issue is whether homosexuality is demonic oppression or daily lust that needs to be mortified. what argument to you have to show that homosexuality is demonic oppression and not daily lust? have you talked to homosexuals or are you basing that judgement on your personal opinion?

Re: Spiritual "Deliverance"

I think it worthy of note that EVERYTHING we choose to do (or neglect/refuse to do), is the consequence of personal choice. We either decide to do a thing, or we decide to refrain from doing it. The choice is ours, alone.

Moreover, we shall be held accountable to God for all of our decisions, whether they be right or wrong. This is why I am persuaded that reading and studying the Bible to acquire knowledge which enables one to properly discern between what is right or wrong, is an absolute necessity.

We were ALL born utterly destitute of such knowledge, and because we are each of the corrupted "seed" of Adam, we inherited a 'natural' tendency to choose wrongly.

Such discernment, of course, cannot be successfully accomplished without the indwelling Spirit!
