Angels: Ministering Spirits

Angels might also be entreated during deliverance sessions. For example, a demon spirit might lay right to a person and claim legal authority over them on account of an unconfessed sin or unclean place or thing. If the unclean spirit refuses to leave and wearies the exorcist, the saint of God can call upon angelic assistence to combat and weaken the demonic spirit. Typically this is done by entreating the angelic assistence of angels that correspond to the kind of demon spirit being dealt with. A "spirit of deception" can be weakned through entreating "angels of truth". A "spirit of lust" can be weakened through entreating "angels of love". A "spirit of violence" can be weakened through entreating "angels of peace"... and so forth. Continue calling upon angelic assistence in faith until the demon spirit recognizes the heavenly presence of the angels. Then, re-engage the efforts of casting the spirit out through the power of the blood and the name of Jesus.

Angels can also be entreated to protect from outside demonic spirits that might attempt to involve themselves in the deliverance session.

Sounds like it could very well be angelic. I'd say... you might have actually saw an angel with your own eyes. That's a heavenly blessing in itself! Angelic attention and evaluation (both with regards to holy angels or fallen angels) indicates that you're doing something right.

A local witches, spiritualists, or "psychics" can also be rebuked in prayer and angels entreated to thwart their efforts to hinder the Kingdom of God.

"I come against every familiar spirit and power of Mrs._______. May her waters be dried up, her sun be darkened, and the moon above her become as blood. I pray that the Angels of Heaven tear down every spiritual stronghold she has built, and that they bind every familiar spirit and unclean spirit that she has assisting her. I pray that her eyes be opened to the truth or that she be removed from hindering the advancement of the Gospel. This I pray, in the name of Jesus! Amen."

Remember, Satan isn't original. He has no new ideas. Satan's "spirit guides" and "familiar spirits" are nothing but a counterfit network of spirits reflecting the realities of the Guardian Angels and the Angels of Heaven. Put them to work against one another. Angels rejoice and are valiant in combating the unseen forces of darkness as a response to our prayers.

A spiritualist was speechless after she asked me as to if I new my very own "personal spirit guide". I told her, "No, I don't know about any 'spirit guide'. But I do know about my Guardian Angel."

It has also been said that angels are strengthened by our prayers. Pray for your Guardian Angel and the angels protecting your family. Pray that they be strengthened by God and that they wax valiant in the fight. It's been said that angels often stand down or regroup to combat evil at a later time if they do not have adequate permission or the "prayer cover" for their mission.

"Heavenly Father, I pray that you strengthen and empower the angels in our lives. May they ever be vigilant and victorious against the forces of Hell. I pray that the holy angels have full authority to do as they need to protect and guide my family in the ways of the LORD. In Jesus name I pray. Amen."

Don't forget to at least say a single prayer for your angels. They too can face resistance and need assistance.

Angels can enrich our faith and assist us in our spiritual journey if we allow them to.

Hebrews 1:13-14
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Are they not all ministering (SERVING) spirits, sent forth to minister (SERVE) for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Another translation renders the text as saying...

Hebrews 1:13-14 (NLT)
And God never said to any of the angels,
“Sit in the place of honor at my right hand
until I humble your enemies,
making them a footstool under your feet.”
Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

Angels are called to graciously and humbly serve the prayerful saints of God.

Here are the Heavenly Spheres... and the corresponding Orders (or Choirs) of Angels as I understand them. We’ll start with the highest sphere and its choirs. We'll begin with those who are the closest to the very throne of God:

Thrones: The Heavenly Council (24 Elders of Heaven)
Seraphim: The Angels of Heavenly Worship gathered around God’s throne
Cherubim: The Heavenly Guardians of the Sacred (Heaven’s Royal Guard)

The Sphere of the Second Heaven

Authorities: Guardians of Galaxies
Dominions: Guardians of Stars and Solar Systems
Powers: Guardians of Planetary bodies

The Sphere of the First Heaven

Principalities: Guardians of Nation States
Archangels: Guardians of the Saints, virtues, and the forces of nature
Angels: Guardians of individual people or Heavenly Messengers

As stated in a previous post, angels also appear to have some degree of control over nature and the elements:

Revelation 7:1
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Thus, I propose that there be a subclass of angel. Legend speaks of who these angels are. For example from this verse (and legend) the following might be proposed:

Angel of the North (Uriel)
Angel of the South (Michael)
Angel of the East (Raphael)
Angel of the West (Gabriel)
