Coop... If the District Superintendant has the Organizational Authority to do this and it's written in the By-laws or Rules then it's not an abuse of power it's enforcing what the Org Believes...

and he's just doing what he was elected to do... lead

Whether we agree or disagree... He has the if he has the authority to do it... then he is just doing his job.. right or wrong...

While I agree, it is still not prudent to push this issue before the vote at GC in just a few months!

And by conducting witch hunts of licensed ministers/pastors who own television - he's leading alright . . . right over a cliff.

I wonder, does this DS have a television? Or perhaps does other things, like watch dvd movies or things that aren't allowed as well?

I'd love to see someone dig up some dirt on him.

You are on target.

What if all licensed UPCI ministers turn in there cards at Gen. Conference.

Then tell the ministers to be honest and do not sign up if they will have a TV or want to use TV in any form.

Maybe have a questionnaire that will ask all preachers:

Did you as a licensed UPCI minister own, watch or use TV media for entertainment, teaching or advertising in the past year?

Why? Who uses a television for entertainment, when the internet is UPC-legal and has all the entertainment, movies, and television shows available.

I wonder if this DS has ever watched a news clip on the internet? Or any other television-related video online.
