Again poor choice of words but it was interesting that the ACE folks had a stronger stand against television than the Pentecostal preachers there.

Like Pianoman said, who do you identify with more? The ACE people with their anti-TV stance or your ACTS 2:38 brethren?

The Pentecostal are MY brethren we have tha SAME Father and Mother. But I did appreciate the stand the ACE folks took against television I wish some of my brethren took the samr stand on this important issue and I also wish the ACE folks would obey the ONLY saving message of this dispensation Acts 2:38.

Concerning the matter of the order of Creation:
Archie: God created the universe in seven days.
Edith: Six days. On the seventh day he rested.
Archie: Well only for a while then He looked over what He done.

On the divinity of Jesus Christ:
Archie: All over the world they celebrate the birth of that baby, and everybody gets time off from work. Now if that ain’t proof that he’s the Son of God, then nothing is.

On the omnipotence of God:
Archie: God can do anything! He can turn your jawbone into an ass!

Archie: God don’t make no mistakes, that’s how He got to be God.

And concerning the fall of man, Archie used Scripture to show it was all woman’s fault.
Archie: Don’t go blaming nothing on God that youse women brung on yourselves.
Gloria: What?
Archie: Yes, that’s right. You don’t believe me, read your Bible. Read the story about Adam and Eve there. Adam and Eve, they had it pretty soft out in paradise. They had no problems, they didn’t even know they was naked. But Eve, she wasn’t satisfied with all that, see? And one day against a direct order, she made poor Adam eat that apple. God got sore. He told them, "Get your clothes on and get the hell out of here."
ROFL!

I can hear them speaking as I read it. Nothing can compare to the Bunkers.

I believe this story was in a book (perhaps written by Sis. Lumkin) that said she was seeing the doctor for headaches most likely attributed to her long, heavy hair. The doctor asked her to take it down to see how long it was and she kept refusing until finally she did. According to the story, the power of God was strong. The doctor told her she would need to cut her hair to help relieve the headaches, which she again refused. I guess the next time she went back, he asked her to take her hair down again and when she asked him why, he told her he wanted to feel again what he had felt the first time she had taken it down. I can't recall if this is the same story being talked about here but I believe it is.

Epley's comment was in reference to ACE not the Amish - I think.
