Google Toolbar Forcing Itself On Me

First thing this am I noticed an update for Adobe Flash Player. Somewhere I heard it has to do with Youtube so I always accept the update. This time I noticed it was also uploading a Google Toolbar and "Chrome" something or other that I think is an entirely different browser.

I caught it in time and looked for some way to block the two things I did not want but saw nothing to stop them. I was forced to cancel the Adode Flash Player because I did not want them. Anyone know a way to block these two rascals and still get the Flash Player?

Its amazing how these groups can install themselves on our Computers without our approval.

Go to your Control Panel and uninstall the toolbar. Go to your settings in Chrome and click on (I think!) "manage toolbars." You should be able to remove any installed toolbars from your browser.

You really have to pay attention when you click on updates--they do sneaky little package deals. Usually there will be a little checkbox along with something like "Install Google Toolbar." If you don't uncheck that box, the toolbar will be installed with your update. It's very annoying.

Yep. Just updated a couple Adobe programs this morning and both had a box I had to uncheck to keep from installing the Google Toolbar and some other program.

If you're using IE, you should keep Chrome. If you're using Firefox or Safari, it's probably a wash . I like Chrome a lot.

Get some pepper spray for the next time the Google bar tries to for itself on you.
