Are you talking about grandchildren? I'm taking notes now that I've been a mother-in-law for a year and a half. I'm just waitin' for that day!

Yes. The challenge is what to feed them when you have them for a few days. What I eat is different than what they eat, but I make sure I have what they want when they stay with me.
I'm fortunate that they are being taught to eat healthly, so that helps for sure!
It's challenging because one weekend you have them they want scrambled eggs and the next time they come they don't like them - haha!

Oh well, heck, my youngest daughter STILL does that, and she's almost 14! LOL I'm constantly in a state of confusion by her likes/dislikes from one day to the next. My older two outgrew that trend at a much earlier age.
That's great that your grandchildren are learning to eat healthy from the get go. I tell my kids, "If you eat junk food sparingly NOW, you'll ALWAYS be able to eat junk food... sparingly/as a treat. If you eat a lot now, you really won't be able to eat it later [without health problems & weight gain]."

Sorry, but I think people go WAY OVERBOARD with this whole diet thing. Again, I think it is like years ago that some "study" showed you if you did basically ANYTHING you got cancer!
Sure you don't want to have too much sugar, but now it is showing people trying to cut back by using supposedly diet soda that NOW they are are in danger again!
It simply shows to me that as long as you don't do things in excess and that INCLUDES not just having a coke but OVEREATING can be just as bad, that you should be OK, yet most people don't see it that way.
They think as long as they are drinking a diet whatever they can eat like a cow and still have a healthy body!
There are excesses to everything....having coke and or candy is only ONE fraction of the health problems in this country. a lot of people seem to turn a blind eye to the rest. Such as ...exercise or even eating properly.
To focus on only ONE THING is ignorant. It's like people who think you can live like the devil and be saved too! Guess what? That will not happen. Neither will only focusing on one thing bring about healthy bodies.
Just as you must take the bible as a whole and everyting in it to be saved you have to take into account ALL reasons why people are obese. Not just focus one one thing!
