Question Sermons preached by Rev. Denver L. Stanford

I am writing a book about my Dad's life. I would like to include as many sermons as possible. If you have a MP3, CD, or Cassette tape of his sermons please send me a copy.

Private message me and I will send you a email or address you can send it to.

I would like to find sermons from as many different churches as possible so even if you have the same sermon at different churches I would like a copy of it.

Please if you know a minister or if you could pass it along to others.

Re: Sermons preached by Rev. Denver L. Stanford

Nathan, I am not familiar with your dad. Can you post a brief biography here? Interested in knowing about him. I hope you are successful in finding recordings of your dads sermons. I think what you are doing is a great tribute from a son to his father.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Sermons preached by Rev. Denver L. Stanford

My dad's is Rev. Denver L. Stanford Sr who started a church in Boston, Massachusetts. He also traveled the country preaching "I Am A Soul Winner" and many other sermons. He is the minister who won Rev. Charles Mahaney to the Lord. There are many things I could say about my Dad and my Mom.

He has several sermon's that I would like to get copies of

Job's Altar
God wears a Floppy Hat
God's Perfect Memory

are just a few.

Harrington, Delaware is just west of Milford, Delaware and 30 Minutes south of Dover, Delaware. Almost dead center of the state of Delaware.
