Where does God meet people today?

Where two or Three are gathered together in My Mane, I will be in the midst of them. The difference is, A New Covenant. A New and Living Way.
.
So if it was called "House of God" because God MET them there and you drew a comparison with that to what Jesus said about meeting US when we gathered together...why can't then where the church gathers together be called "House of God"?

In the NT church in the bible they regularly met in one specific home and Jesus would meet them there according to His promise

Jesus isn't just in our hearts, he visits us in our midst when we are gathered together.

  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

It is not impossible but unlikely that the 5 fold ministry and 9 gifts of the Spirit are going to be in operation in a handfull of people who are not in fellowship with the larger body of Christ.

There is much benefit in being with a group that has Bible quizzing, youth, ladies, & mens retreats, organized outreach, pooling resources to feed the poor, and help the needy, support missions, ect.

The UPC church that I'm attending has seen thousands baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. We have daughter works throughout the county to reach people, We are seeing people being baptized and filled on a regular basis. We support missions, have a bible teaching institute, support young evangelists with opportunities to minister. At the moment we are collecting 25,000 shoes for the people of Haiti.

We are doing so much more to advance the kingdom, than we could sitting home by ourselves focusing on our small differences, versus coming together and having revival.

We are in a 40 day progressive fast right now, and the Spirit of God is so pervasive and in evidence in our meetings that people are being filled, healed, delivered, changed, empowered, renewed, encouraged.

I would not trade this precious treasure, my Pastor and church family, for anything.

And I know I am where I'm supposed to be.
Hey Sister,
Years ago my wife and I had decided that we wanted to move from California to Florida and we were looking at your church because we both have family scattered around the area.

So we took it to the pastor and told him what we were thinking about doing and even told him that we had seen the church online and we would love to go and be part of what that church was doing.

First off he was still mad at us for getting married without his "permission" and he told us that he could and would not bless our move and that furthermore he and that pastor are personal friends. So we went back to our pews and shut our mouths until we had enough.

I am so glad that he did that and I owe him a thank you because if not we would not be where we are today and much like you we believe that we are where we are suppose to be we have seen God move in our midst and do things that would not have happened if we would have stayed.

We love our AG church and it is as much Pentecostal as any UPC church I have been in. It is a large church maybe about the size of your church. Our church does things with the least of these in our community , state and the world. The Gospel is being preached souls are being saved and the great commission is being and walked out.

God bless you brother. As you know, when my husband had open heart surgery and was very ill, we attended an AOG church as it is 5 mins from my house. I love the people there, they ministered to me greatly when I was going thru a difficult time. There is a difference in belief that I can't reconcile and that compels me to make the longer drive to the church I now attend. That and in prayer and fasting God gave me strong direction and confirmation to attend there. I will always consider you a precious brother, as I consider them precious to me, and hold them up daily in my prayers.

Re: Come Out Of Her My People

One issue about the building approach seems to have caused a division in the body. We are seeing the use of titles among overseers. I find this mostly among our Black brethren. Reverend is now being used in white assemblies. I know of one overseer who has listed his name as an apostle on side of the church van. Preaching robes/garments are to show a higher priesthood over the body etc. One minister I seen looked like the pope and carried a staff. These issues would not manifest in home assembly.

For me I could worship anywhere. Home assembly has its issues too.

If it is God's will for your illness then why are you seeking medical attention to get rid of it?
