According to Acts 1:8, What did the Apostles receive? and Why?
If one studies the scriptures close enough they will be able to see the difference between the Holy Ghost indwelling a believer and the "Baptism in the Holy Ghost"!

And others tend to forget what Jesus said, long before his statement in
Acts 1, that those who are filled with the Spirit would receive...ETERNAL LIFE...

Jesus' later statement in Acts does not negate his previous statement in John. When we are baptized with the Holy Ghost, we receive regeneration, eternal life, and the power to live as Christians. One will search in vain to find anywhere in the Bible where anybody was first "
born of the Spirit" and then later "
baptized in the Spirit". I was an AoG minister for many years. I am familiar with the argument. But I had to finally face facts.
