*IF the debbil was gonna kill me, he shoulda killed me in the night * .... what kind of nonsense is this! Does remind me of some wild nonsensical messages that I've heard preached that make absolutely no sense, but people go wild because of the music, and the beat of the drums.

The fella was preaching about the night and that joy would come in the morning. Made sense to me, but then I'm a simple person.
