Unmasked

Since we've been having a discussion about respect for women, I wanted to also focus a discussion on a very pertinent issue that deals with the current cultural sexual assault on women.

Unmasked is a powerful book written by a man who originally began to stand against abortion 15-20 years ago. As this man began to see the scars, and tragedy surrounding abortion, the Lord began to teach him how abortion is so very similar to Bael worship in Israel, and the sacrifice of children in Israel, is much the same today as abortion.

He wrote this book and called it Unmasked, because a parable/story is told of a beautiful woman who has embraced the current cultural sexual identity that the enemy has enticed her with, only to find herself broken in a million pieces as the effects of that lie destroyed her life.

He points out the root cause of most of the fallout in our generation today, is because of the enemy's lie that sex does not need to occur within the boundaries of marriage and love; the lie that sex is an enjoyable experience that can be experienced casually with no strings attached, and the lie that a woman's self-worth can be found best in a no-strings attached sexual experience.

The worship of sex, and sex without the bounds of marriage, has torn our generation apart, and this book, Unmasked deals with this issue directly, and teaches women how to deal with the fallout from it. This book also teaches men how to be protectors of women, as their God given nature, and not predators, and teaches men with scripture how to be protectors of the women (mothers, daughters, sisters, etc) in their life, instead of predators.

My daughter and I attended a conference held in our town by the author of this book. The teaching was so deep, and real, and there was such a miraculous moving, and presence of the Spirit of the Lord in that place, there was not a dry eye in the building. The altars were crowded with women and men pouring out their hearts to God, and to be honest, it was the most beautiful move of God I've seen in perhaps in my entire life. There were people there from all denominations, and God moved miraculously in the midst of it all! A friend of ours who attended, felt a burden of guilt lifted from her heart that she had been carrying for 20 years! It was an incredible thing to see truth presented and bringing with it freedom and light, instead of darkness, guilt, and condemnation.

I would encourage every woman and man who has taken the time to read this thread, to consider purchasing this book, and then passing its message on. I don't say this lightly. You can find the book on Amazon here http://www.amazon.com/Unmasked-Expos...words=unmasked

My daughter took this book to school, and girls have seen her reading the book, asked about it, and are wanting to read it. We have passed out the copies we have, and hope to buy more.

I've provided a couple of clips below where you can see Jim Anderson presenting the message of Unmasked.

Re: Unmasked

Jim Anderson, and his wife have a website, and books, CDs, and videos can also be purchased from their website, which might be better than purchasing from Amazon, as I believe most of the proceeds go to charity.

http://www.lifeline-ministries.org/

You can also go to their media page to watch videos there as well with Jim Anderson presenting this message.

To see all that they have for sale, visit this link: http://lifelineministries.bigcartel.com/

Re: Unmasked

I pray it will be a blessing to you.

This is a message that teenage girls need to hear. Especially girls without a dad in their lives. A young girl's heart needs the love of a father, and when they don't get that love, or if a man in their life has abused them, it usually leads them on a pathway to find love in places they shouldn't. A girl may think that a boy is in love with her because he responds to her sexually, and she gives herself to him, thinking she has found love and commitment, when in reality, she has gotten the raw end of the deal, and a miserable cycle begins.

This book splits wide open the lie that sex without the boundaries of marriage is ok. It deals with the issue of abortion, and why abortion should concern us all as Christians. It teaches men how to be fathers to their daughters. So many wonderful things are presented in this book, I believe it would be a blessing to anyone who would take the time to read it.
