Re: Bitcoin

I'm not quite following this one, and it doesn't seem to track very well with Int'l bankers, Jamie Dimon, et al, dissing BTC, however, a bitcoin critique

I've personally wondered about bitcoin being the launch for cashless society. If libertarians think they are helping themselves with bitcoin....they will be fully for it, removing much doubt and resistance about cashless money. I'm a skeptic, but I fully believe we will eventually have digital money. Hopefully there will always be some paper around.

Re: Bitcoin

I think you've got a very good reason to be suspicious of this, and definitely something is on the horizon to get us moved into a cashless, paperless money system, and whether the bitcoin is a test, or trial run... or the real deal... who knows.

Re: Bitcoin

Interesting, ILG. I haven't been followed this but just read a Tweet saying there is breaking news that the CEO of the Bitcoin exchange is being arrested for money laundering.

Right, a Bitcoin exchange, because Bitcoin is a software protocol, which isn't owned by anyone.

Re: Bitcoin

Bitcoin has apparently spawned $billions in growth already, and is a bright spot in an otherwise bad economy. Initially touted for its possible anonymity, it's really how well btc functions transparently that is so good. I've heard it said that they seem to be having no problem busting btc abusers the old fashioned way so far. The video def gives more legit to btc, i'm surprised the price hasn't reacted more.

Re: Bitcoin

all the recent hubbub has not tested the btc floor; it's currently at $680. some small amount of btc has become an excellent speculative play, if the possibility of major players moving anything like the 'recommended' 1-2.5% hedge into crypto on successive $ devaluations increasingly (or suddenly) becomes reality. There is a real (single-digit) probability that 1 btc could go to high 6 figures. you can get 1/4 of a bitcoin for $200.

Re: Bitcoin

a possibly valid reflection; that i just don't care to verify:

BITCOIN should be called bitCON. It was developed by a splinter faction of the Office of Naval Intelligence, funded by the same people who own the "Federal" Reserve and Bank of England. This IS the digital currency you might have heard about in the "New World Order" strategy.

People will foolishly claim/repeat disinformation that Bitcoin is (1) "unhackable" software (lol) and (2) the bankers are threatened by this digital currency. These are incorrect.

(1) Bitcoin is very hackable. This software is no "enigma machine". You know what else Lockheed Martin claimed was "unhackable"? Their "beyond black" classified RQ-170 Stealth recon drone. Except, Iran not only hacked it, they landed it safely on one of their runways, took photo opportunities with it, reverse engineered it, sold it to other countries, and then sent a pink toy version of it back to the White House as a taunt. Lockheed Martin is arguably the top military contractor of cutting edge military technology in the US;

(2) Bankers have more working capital outside of money (gold/silver, name it) than anyone here combined already. They know the $ is collapsing because it was their design for it to run this long as a ponzi scheme and collapse. Once a new market emerges (any), they will be able to convert their assets quickly and hijack those markets via their cohesive institutional like actions. People like us won't have the ability to group our "valuables" in the same or similar amounts for actionable investments.
