First, take your own medicine - YOU stop with the insults & we'll get along just fine (don't you remember the "standards" thread?). So, remove the beam from your own eye before you start pointing at mine .

Ummm, one wee lil' problem with that - all of the personal pronouns are translated in the masculine gender because of the context of ruling his own house, etc., etc. Sorry - Try again.

The wee problem with that is that there are thousands of scriptures which use the masculine gender, but are applicable to both genders. Why pick and choose here? IMO, this argument has far less sticking power than the silence in the church passage.

I don't think anyone answered my earlier question...is the command for women to be silent in the church literal or not? If it is literal, then how does that apply to singing, prophecy, tongues/interpretation and teaching in children's classes?
