Yet another object lesson as to why women should not be preachers. There is no understanding of fundamental exegesis. ROTFL! Even several of the versions displayed do not include the translation of women. LOL!
However, women did proclaim great things in Israel:
(1Sa 18:7 KJV) And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.
(
Exo 15:20 ESV) Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing.
(
Exo 15:21 ESV) And Miriam sang to them: "Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea."
It is ignorant to say women in the OT were preachers and teachers of men when that never happened. The male Levite's fulfilled that function.
(
Deu 10:8 ESV) At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD to stand before the LORD to minister to him and to bless in his name, to this day.
(
Deu 24:8 ESV) "Take care, in a case of leprous disease, to be very careful to do according to all that the Levitical priests shall direct you. As I commanded them, so you shall be careful to do.
(
Deu 33:10 ESV) They shall teach Jacob your rules and Israel your law; they shall put incense before you and whole burnt offerings on your altar.
(2Ch 35:3 ESV) And he said to the Levites who taught all Israel and who were holy to the LORD, "Put the holy ark in the house that Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, built. You need not carry it on your shoulders. Now serve the LORD your God and his people Israel.
(2Ch 17:7 ESV) In the third year of his reign he sent his officials, Ben-hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah;
(2Ch 17:8 ESV) and with them the Levites, Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah; and with these Levites, the priests Elishama and Jehoram.
(2Ch 17:9 ESV) And they taught in Judah, having the Book of the Law of the LORD with them. They went about through all the cities of Judah and taught among the people.
(
Neh 8:7 ESV) Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, the Levites, helped the people to understand the Law, while the people remained in their places.
(
Neh 8:8 ESV) They read from the book, from the Law of God, clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading.
I fully expect this will be ignored as is typically the case when facts are brought into the equation...
