Rob Bell Debuting New Show on OWN
Quote:

Author and former pastor Rob Bell has invited supporters to the taping of his new show on May 14. According to The Christian Post, Bell announced the taping of "The Rob Bell Show" on his Twitter and Facebook networks, inviting supporters to be in Los Angeles on May 14 and be available between 5:00 and 11:00 p.m. to participate in the taping.

"The ideas Rob sets forth in his books, Love Wins and What We Talk About When We Talk About God, opened my heart and my mind. People like him are the reason I set out to build OWN in the first place: to be able to gather a global community of like-minded seekers," Winfrey wrote last year.

Another reason I'm happy I don't have cable tv.

Re: Rob Bell Debuting New Show on OWN
Oprah is going to play God in the movie The Shack and Rob Bell is going to have a show on her network. Maybe she is the Anti Christ?

Something I didn't know...he was the former Pastor of Mars Hill. He's an author of several books, including "Love Wins," "What We Talk About When We Talk About God," and a series of DVDs called NOOMA Videos.
I actually enjoyed several of the NOOMA videos. I do not agree with his belief in "Love Wins," nor his apparent endorsement of same sex marriages.
NOOMA website
Check out the website to see some of the videos.

Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something, right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged his listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what he was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God's work in this world. Wherever he went, whatever he did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most, because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in.
NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from a perspective of Jesus.
NOOMA is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion.

Re: Rob Bell Debuting New Show on OWN
Wow I left for like 5 whole minutes. Nobody posted anything!
No Bell wrote a book where he asked a lot of questions. Like "does a person spend all eternity, millions and millions of years in hell for telling one lie?" It was very clear he was pushing a universalism message. If you don't know what universalism is they are the ones who are said to not believe in a literal hell.
