True. It would be wrong to rant against tattoos and not obesity or caffeine abuse.

No, it does not.

The heart of this matter is a matter of the heart of the person who is getting the tattoo now or may already have one.

I won't use my liberty to make someone stumble, but we have been called to a life of liberty in Christ.

Someone who wants to defend the man-made doctrine of no tattoos for Christians using Levitical law better be sure to follow ALL of the Levitical laws.

See, this is why I KNOW the Apostolics are good people, but wrong! Just when I start to think about, "Well uh, maybe since they are the only Pentecostals who baptize in Jesus Name, maybe I should just go back to them and just go along with everything else--" that is when I get reality check!

SO DOG GONE LEGALISTIC! MAKE ME SICK!

Maybe the reason why their services are so over the top on Sunday nights is because that is about the only time they experience freedom from the burden they have made everyday life to be!
I don't believe that anyone with a tattoo is less saved than another. And if a born again believer goes out and gets a tattoo, I'd not say they were going to Hell. Given the tattoo, I might even admire the talent behind the artwork. I'm simply saying that it would appear that God desires us to not be "of the world" or fellowship darkness. Some tattoo artists are clearly wiccan, atheists, hedonists, or Satanists. Many even sell very blasphemous tattoos. The association troubles me. That's all.

As for the Levitical law... we're not bound by the law. However, it does reveal God's general opinion of various matters. All things may now be lawful... but not all things are expedient.

I don't know. What tattoo shop do you think He got it from? lol

I agree... I don't think Jesus wears "booty-shorts" revealing a tattoo and a crown. Kinda reminiscent of the Village People. Maybe it's just me. lol

I mean no offense to those with, or who might really like, tattoos. I'm just sharing my thoughts. As I said... I've considered getting one. But... I feel it wouldn't be right for me. At least... at the moment. lol

I have 3 tattoos from when I was in the world and I grieve in my spirit when I see them.

if you're grieved then you should also rejoice for what the Lord has done for you.

They may remind you of your past, but they may not be sinful in and of themselves. We all carry scars of past failures, some are just more visible than others. Be joyful when you see your tattoos for they represent the passed past.

And this sums up my opinion on the subject... thanks for sharing this.

IMO, a tattoo is an advertisement of sorts. I choose not to have one because I personally only want to be identified as a servant and child of Christ in ways which ARE explicitly conveyed in the NT, such as letting my little light shine.
