10 years in the movement I don't recall ever hearing a sermon about love or Gods love, but at least we did sing that song "The Love of God".

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Preach is often one thing...live "Love" is another.....Hope I qualify....
I don't want to get too involved here but the pendulum often swings both ways...I have seen some liberals that were hard in their spirits and have seen some ultra cons that were beyond hard...however on both sides I have seen many sweet "balanced" people in their love and outreach.
I know people that have been driven from the presence of God by people with hard attitudes. We can believe something with all our hearts but we do not have to be cutting and hard and try to destroy others that believe different.
I know a missionary in Brazil that I would not walk across the street to hear him preach and actually I believe 95 % or even more like he does but he is leaves a path of destruction and whoever fails he trys to destroy...
My friend no matter what you believe do not leave a path of destruction! As a missionary I have walked away from many situations rather than hurt people....

Often because people don't seem to fit in this little circle or that little circle they often have a "SUPERIOR" attitude...I heard an Ultra con rage and rant on the evils of TV ( I agree) (and by the way do not get it started I am for TV) however when I really got to know the person they almost Live at Disney...and Branson....It is often so easy to try to clean out someone's else's yard and never see our own yard! When the Bible said, Love not the world....it might be better if we all went and learned what that really means....

I am sure on AFF I would be considered very Ulta Con...however it has never been my desire to come across as someone that is hard and unkind. I never want to belittle anyone that does anything in the name of Christ...Lord, Please help me to be kind to others.....both in words and deeds....

All know I am not into naming people...just trying to say where ever we stand...whatever we believe...we can be kind and not mistreat people....and never look down on someone you judge less spiritual...who you put down today YOU might need tomorrow....
It may be because I am a woman however I have always thought the law of kindness is God's law and we should be governed by it. Does that mean we have to agree with everyone? Of course not....a million times no....but we do not have to become spiritual canibals... I do know people that teach far out doctrines ...and we have had to part paths with people before...I know the pain...the hurt....and life has taught me a lot of lessons...however the biggest lesson I have learned is TO DO MY BEST TO UNDERSTAND....people make wrong decisions...we all have made wrong decisions at sometime in our life...
Mercy is a wonderful friend....
