This place IS hilarious. God saved the baptist knowing that he would most likely remain a cessationist.
So you don't believe that ridiculing the manifestation of the Holy Ghost, calling it the devil is blasphemy.

... are you giving excuse for blasphemy to condemn a contrite homosexual?

The traditional definition of HELL is big fat human lie!! God has ways of bringing humanity to His purposes, but that is not it. He could create any means for man to be saved, is He so weak or evil that that is what he would do??

There is much better and scriptural ways to interpret the Word, which glorifies God and saves mankind, what is it in man that much embrace the absolutely worst of all NEWS, it is supposed to be GOOD NEWS! And it is!!
I'm well versed with Universalism. The way I see it... if Universalism is right... I'll be okay even if I warn people of a burning Hell. And those turned off by the Gospel over the notion of a burning Hell... will be saved anyway. But if Universalism is wrong... the result would be unthinkable.

They believe that Calvary secured salvation for everyone.

Re: Homosexuality question

Some great points in this article. Posted the two that I really agreed with.

Quote:
Some fail, and some succeed. Some experience radical change, others do not.

But isn't this similar to what happens in many areas of life, where some people are greatly helped by a specific type of counseling or a unique spiritual experience, and others point to that same counseling or experience as being destructive in their lives?

But if we focus on changing someone from homosexuality to heterosexuality rather than from homosexuality to holiness, there is the possibility of great frustration and even disappointment and backsliding.

They're not ridiculing the manifestation of the Holy Ghost. They just don't believe that he manifests today as in acts. Many would accept a biblical manifestation (real languages) but all they've seen is "Shanabababa."

Are they linguistic experts who can determine if "Shanabababa." is an actual word in some world language. Let me remind you that there are thousands of languages in the world, not just English.

I won't even ask "really"...I already know that answer. *sigh*

Consider carefully what you're willing to be absolutely right about. Some things just aren't that important.

Seems to me that our chances of "making heaven" are pretty equal. I'll just call this attitude as I see it. The attitude that you're "righter" than everyone and anyone else is pure arrogance. Where do you find time to be so sure of yourself when you're in full pursuit of God in your own life and spending time studying to discover how God desires you to live?

Perhaps I should have said... a transgendered porn star has a greater chance of making it to Heaven than a... Pharisee.

After speaking against homosexuality, Paul said...

Romans 1:32 KJV Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
