Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

You misread what I said. Sorry for lack of clarity. It is a SIGN that JESUS IS IN HEAVEN. The Sign is not Jesus. Jesus is not a sign. The sign POINTS TO HIM. The sign tells us about Him. The sign is the destruction of the city and temple, and that signified that Jesus is King in Heaven.

I would appreciate an honest response next time to my post and actually dealing with what I said rather than pretending I said something I did not
OK I have a lot of catching up to do, but I shall strive to advance a little.

First, there was no intention of calling anyone a liar or that someone was dishonest. I am quite sure you are honest and explain the truth (As you see it)

What I am simply saying is that your understanding is mistaken.
You are interpreting the scriptures quite honestly, but still wrong.
So let us lay aside the issue of lying or dishonesty for your honesty or truthfulness is not in question here, what is in question is your interpretation.

The main problem I see with the term "Rapture" is that the Bible quite often speaks the word "Coming" so I see no need to create a new word when the Bible has already provided one that is quite clear.

The second problem I see with the term "Rapture" is that it denotates a secret rapture, when I believe the second coming will be quite public where every eye shall see him.

The third problem I see with the term "Rapture" is that it teaches a two-stage coming, where Jesus comes for his church and then later on returns with his church. I simply see no reason at all for a 2 stage coming.

So no I do not call you a liar or dishonest, I simply call you mistaken in your understanding of Jesus second coming.

Re: Left Behind nonsense Movie

The word "bible" is not in the Bible. It is describing something.
The word "rapture" is not in the Bible, it is describing something.

Thanks Sean for fixing that for us!

No problem, anytime!

Re: Left Behind nonsense Movie

The word bible does not imply things contrary to what we all know as the bible. The word rapture however does. Which is why the term resurrection seems preferable imo.
