I'm a pie eater, and a pie baker, so I'm going to start a business whereby every pie I bake to sell must allow me to eat a slice out of each pie. lol

no. it wasn't a law to Abraham or Jacob either. It's a good principle to live by but at other times we may want to give like the widow did at the temple.
