TYPOLOGY.

I told you over and over again that Moses foreshadowed Jesus. But by the way you responded, you do not know what it means to foreshadow something. That which foreshadows something is a type of that same something. Moses foreshadowing Christ (which is what I claimed all along) means MOSES IS A TYPE OF JESUS.

Did you get it this time? Can you see how you did not know what foreshadow means and got it backwards? lol You say you cannot read my beliefs correctly since I ma not giving enough? No, everyone else got it. You just did not know what FORESHADOW means/

TYPOLOGY.

Now, do you know what an ANTITYPE is?

I trust not.

So look:

an·ti·type
ˈan(t)iˌtīp/
noun
1. a person or thing that represents the opposite of someone or something else.
2. something that is represented by a symbol.

Jesus is the antitype of Moses, because JESUS IS REPRESENTED BY MOSES. MOSES is NOT represented by Jesus. You distinctly told the direct OPPOSITE of what I have been saying every time you accused me of saying Jesus was a type of Moses. lol So,,... PLEASE get it right this time. Everyone else did. Now that you know what FORESHADOW and ANTITYPE means, ... just.... please. (sigh)

Thanks for the correction...I thought "TOPOLOGY" as you stated, was some new concept of math and preterism mixed.

You are welcome.

It was never a matter of whether or not I mentioned Josephus ELSEWHERE. It was a matter of me and you on this forum. I engaged you on this forum more than anyone has about preterism when you said all I ever said to YOU was Josephus. That was a lie. All I ever did with YOU was talk BIBLE BIBLE BIBLE. The you'd back out due to some excuse and never answer my questions. So, enough of this nonsense. Get on with the discussion.

Mike, you are offended at me because I lump you all together. I originally said you, as in "preterists in general" or "you guys" and you told me to look up our prior posts. I surely misspoke about you with that in mind. I know some one of you was/were quoting Josephus those months. I apologize if I falsely accused you of quoting Josephus.

Just keep in mind, aside from AFF, you definitely quote Josephus in your work of preterism.

Just wondering though...are you somehow ashamed of someone thinking you are quoting Josephus at all?

Seem strange that this accusation would stir you so much.

The bottom line is, Josephus is the PRETERISTS newspaper. Along with the big imagination.

That combo is amazing when put together!

Of course I know what a type is...I taught the tabernacle for over 30 years.

I believe ALL of the prophecies were for all of the church to read Mike, just certain saints would get to be in the "grand finale"....

Re: Mark of the beast idea

Sean, I cAnt seem to find much time to be on aff w long hours etc...
I'll post as I have time, every few days or when I can...
I agree w M Blume here:
http://mikeblume.com/clouds70.htm

I believe, as in the parable of the wicked vines dressers, the Lords coming in their generation was a judgement upon those that he spent most of his tine rebuking...the false shepherds of Israel, that rejected the true shepherd.

Plz answer what I have now asked 3x in the 2nd and 3rd question:

1) Please give your opinion in regard to the "comes" in Matt. 21:40-

2A) What is the purpose of God having the phrase "shortly take place", in the first verse, and "the time is near", in the 3rd verse?
B) Why did God not choose to leave out the descriptive terms in relation to the timing of things taking place?

3) Was scripture in error, and Did God lie to those 7 Asian churches when he said those things were about to take place shortly?

I spend very little time in the book of revelation, because to me there are much more important things to be doing in life, because whether I understand it or not, the bulk had to have happened within a short amount of time just as God said, because His word is true, whether I comprehend it all or not(not to mention I'm not one of the 7 in Asia 2000 yrs ago). To say that the seven churches understood something about to take place as meaning possibly thousands and thousands of years in the future is beyond ridiculous, IMO.
I believe what he said, and lack of knowing how everything took place does not make me doubt or disbelieve what He said in regard to things that were about to take place soon.
My grandma went to her grave 2 years ago, spending the last 20 yrs of her life engulfed in Baxters magazines, and following the latest headlines that supposedly should be the fullfillment of so called last days prophesy.

I'll try to reply again as I find time thru the week

Sure bro. It is speaking a parable of Israel rejecting their Messiah

2A) What is the purpose of God having the phrase "shortly take place", in the first verse, and "the time is near", in the 3rd verse?

It gives no specific time, just speaks of a future event. It all depends on what the LORD considers "soon or shortly". If you leave your teenage kids home and they have partying friends, would you want them to know how long you will be gone, or keep them guessing. If the Lord did not use that phrasiology, NOBODY would worry about being left behind. As long as a human thinks.."not in my lifetime!", he wont worry about being saved. There were CONSTANT exhortations made to saints of being left behind unaware...

B) Why did God not choose to leave out the descriptive terms in relation to the timing of things taking place?

As I said above...

3) Was scripture in error, and Did God lie to those 7 Asian churches when he said those things were about to take place shortly?

No, If God would have given specific dates, then He would have lied.

Ok bro. I will help you understand my point of view as thorough as possible. Ask me stuff at your leisure. God bless.

Im not Mike, just read your 2 posts I pasted off the internet. You use Josephus...Are you denying it now?

Must I show you your internet posts?

If I cannot produce your posts, then I am lying.

You may not have used it on AFF, but you definitely use it elsewhere.

In your sites here, you use Josephus as a reference....https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...77880786,d.aWw

For that last time... Wow.... You were talking about this forum and what I said to YOU. You said all I ever said to you was Josephus material. Why are you backpeddling on this? We're not talking about anything I've ever posted on the entire internet since the mid nineties. We were talking about our conversations to you. And you took my username on this forum, mfblume, and said Google it along with Josephus. Meanwhile, the truth of the matter is that on this forum, which was the context, all I ever did with you was discuss biblical passages in detail. With your experience with preterism, which is what you saw on this forum, you did not get details from Josephus, but details from the bible. If we used Josephus as much as you claim in your exaggerated description of our chats, you would find it all over this forum in every post we wrote. But it's not the case. We'd do here with you what you claim we always do. But it's funny how in our chats with you it's been bible and more bible always.

Anyone who studies first century Christianity delved into Josephus whether it was for persecution studies or martyrdom, etc. I have read tidbits of his works but have never ever sat down and read as much as a whole single page from his book. He did say things that match what JESUS said in matthew 24 that are uncannily accurate. But when I present prophecy I do what I did with you on this forum. Bible bible bible. Read through our chats again since your memory has become selective and exagerrated. In fact, I used far more bible than you did, since you always in very chat resorted to generalized slurring against preterism, saying things like it is crazy and imaginative, on and on, rather than actual bible comebacks. That is always a sign that a person cannot respond to a good point made by the other. It is an indications of frustration due to lack of adequate response.

Go trot his link for the post you said that ALL YOU EVER HEARD FROM US....
