A Vote For Me Is A Vote For Closed Boarders!!

I believe it is time to close up the shop, and deal with our internal problems in the USA.

I am for bring ALL troops home (in a speedily fashion) from ALL overseas facilities, and using them to patrol all boarders. At the most if we must leave a few in certain areas to keep a USA presence, it should be a skeleton crew that has a 6 month rotation.

Once our boarders are fully closed, I believe we should institute a plan to phase in ALL illegal immigrants to a legal status. ALL will be required to register with their local sheriffs office, and given a SSN. After a certain amount of time from the start of this program (6 months), those found to be unregistered will be deported.

After being registered, each would be given a legal "green card type" status to work here, and income taxes would have to be paid. This alone could turn the deficit from negative to positive over the coarse of a few years. They would have to re-register each year for this card, and again, those found unregistered would be deported. Their license would also be temporary, and updated every year.

They would also be required to take Gov funded English classes at the local schools. They would be given 5 years to become fully functional in our English speaking society. At the 5 year mark, they would be able to apply for US citizenship at a nominal fee ($25)

This is just the start of things I have considered. I am sure there could be many holes within it, but I believe the general idea would work as far as immigration.

As far as world affairs, I believe much of our foreign aide needs to be rescinded and used locally here in America. I believe with the closing of the boarders, we should also begin an aggressive campaign to begin placing an equalizer on all imports so that our American made goods can compete again in the marketplace locally.

In closing, it is high time the government begins to take care of its own house, and get its own house in order.

16,000,000 illegals. That's more than the population of most states. No documentation, no willingness to swear allegiance to this country.

That is dangerous.

Only until we can control our boarders properly.

Those that are illegal do NOT pay any federal income tax. Of Course they do stimulate the local economy some with their buying of goods, but federally they do nothing but take.

Taken from www.cis.org/articles/2005/back605.html

Senators John McCain and Edward Kennedy recently unveiled a major bipartisan immigration proposal backed by a coalition of business, labor, and ethnic organizations. Unfortunately, this plan, like other suggested immigration plans (including President Bush's) is based on a false premise: Since the federal government can't quickly deport the 10-12 million illegal aliens, the only alternative is legalization -- i.e., amnesty.

But there is a third way that rejects this false choice, and it is the only approach that can actually work: Shrink the illegal population through consistent, across-the-board enforcement of the immigration law. By deterring the settlement of new illegals, by increasing deportations to the extent possible, and, most importantly, by increasing the number of illegals already here who give up and deport themselves, the United States can bring about an annual decrease in the illegal-alien population, rather than allowing it to continually increase. The point, in other words, is not merely to curtail illegal immigration, but rather to bring about a steady reduction in the total number of illegal immigrants who are living in the United States. The result would be a shrinking of the illegal population to a manageable nuisance, rather than today's looming crisis.

This is analogous to the approach a corporation might take to downsizing a bloated workforce: a hiring freeze, some layoffs, plus new incentives to encourage excess workers to leave on their own.
