Maybe once you are done with that?

Yea, that is one of the issues that has been discussed--lol.
Mark 16:17-18King James Version (KJV)
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Yes... And:
1 Corinthians 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

Yes, it is terrible. In fact, our phone service doesn't even offer anything but a dial tone. No caller id, lol. We really are in the sticks! Ah well... it's a small price to pay for great living otherwise!

Ya, I wouldn't be interested in anything that promotes man's abilities... or training either in such things. I am with you - the gifts of the spirit are something given of the Lord, and not something you can earn a certificate to hang on the wall, lol!

I dont think Curry Blake is Apostolic as in Oneness doctrine and Acts 2:38. He is the leader of John G. Lakes old group which I think is Trinitarian Pentecostal. Correct me (with documentation) if I am wrong on this.

Re: Are there any independent house churchers here
Home church'n here in north central Arkansas. But we do fellowship occasionally with a couple of AP churches locally. Although in the church community and within the family we do catch a lot of flack for not having a church building.
I apologize if I interupted here. Just thought I'd answer the call, lol.

Esaias, have you been house churching long? Just family or as a group? Do you fellowship with local churches at all? Not to pry. It's just we don't really have a network of home churches in the area and it's nice to know what others are doing.

We started home churching about 12 or so years ago. We started just with our family but then we found a house church (they are still meeting and have been doing house church for about 30 or more years). We moved away, wound up in Oklahoma, tried several denominational churches (UPC and ALJC) but wound up home churching again. We moved back to Texas about 9-10 years ago and were attending an independent apostolic church but the distance was just too far for regular attendance, so we went back to house churching.
We recently moved up here (last year) and currently it's our whole family (including several of our adult children who live in the area). We have met all the neighbors (finally! lol) and are working on an outreach of some sort. We tried a homeless ministry/outreach but they stay well hidden out here (it's very rural), so currently we are getting ready to blitz the nearest town with some street corner evangelism, not sure exactly what we're doing but God's in control and we are available for him to use how he sees fit.
We'd like to reach the lost rather than try to recycle saints from established churches. We haven't made contact with local UPCs (not that many up here, it's all Baptist and Methodist and Church of Christ) yet but we may go by the nearest UPC tomorrow morning to see what's up.
I'd probably need to shave first though, lol.
