Never heard the Smurfs were the devil, but I do remember being told that Pokémon was outright satanic and demonic. Oh and the Simpsons are the very gateway to hell itself.

I am sorry that you were exposed to things that make no sense. and that those things have clouded your view and understanding of scripture.
