Tin foil hat alert.
No joke, way back when I worked in grocery stores one Thanksgiving eve a dude comes strolling down the produce aisle in a fully metallic suit (not like armor, but imagine the shiny side of duct, or a chrome astronaut suit) complete with a pointy tin foil hat. It was something you only see at Halloween, except when you don't.
I'm wondering if maybe I should have introduced myself. I had no idea it was you Esaias.

No, no, no, there are no connections between anything. Everything that happens in history and in politics is pure happenstance. Nobody plans anything, nobody carries out any plans, nobody makes any plans.
Only wacky tinfoil hat wearing intardnet weirdos in their momma's basements who are clueless about anything and everything think about things like 'how to use power and influence to get what you want'. Super rich elites who are part of generations of ruling aristocracies and wealthy, powerful families going back hundreds of years into the medieval period just play golf all day and get elected and appointed to positions of power and influence, and never ever ever think about using their power and influence to further solidify their power and influence.
After all, those 'elites' went to the same public schools YOU went to, right?

Re: Trump 2016
What's funny is people think they are smart and wise and 'rational' because they can laugh and blurt out 'tin foil hat! tin foil hat!' like somebody suffering Tourette's Syndrome. Cause we all know the rational and reasonable and logical refutation of unfounded claims is to just make fun of whoever is claiming something you don't believe to be true.

Poor Koch brothers are whining that they don't have much influence in this election.
This made me smile.
"'Charles Koch is "disappointed" with the line-up of Republican candidates in the 2016 cycle, and is surprised by the lack of influence he and his brother have wielded so far.
In an interview with the Financial Times, the billionaire businessman and philanthropist, said he'll eventually support a candidate who he agrees with on some things with, but that it's hard to get excited. He said a list presented to all the candidates about the Kochs' political arm's priorities "doesn't seem to faze them much. You'd think we could have more influence.""
Hahaha
Biggest appeal for Trump personally is he doesn't need the money from the Koch bros or that gambler magnate in Las Vegas.

Re: Trump 2016
The Koch Brothers are Libertarians. They will support whoever is the final nominee.
I read so many people saying that Koch is supporting Ted Cruz, when they aren't supporting anyone right now.

Re: Trump 2016
Trump's Greatest Hits:
"1) Trump has said that the economy "does better under the Democrats than Republicans."
2) He has said that Nancy Pelosi "is the best."
3) He has said that he is "totally pro-choice." Now he claims to be pro-life.
4) Trump has said, "I'm very liberal when it comes to health care. I believe in universal health care. ... We need a single-payer plan." Now he claims he will replace Obamacare with something "wonderful," without saying what it is.
5) He called self-deportation of illegal aliens "mean-spirited," but now he claims to want to deport them forcibly.
6) In 2012 he called Hillary Clinton "terrific." Now he claims to have a different opinion of her.
7) He wrote in his book, The America We Deserve, "By imposing a one-time 14.25 percent net-worth tax on the richest individuals and trusts, we can put America on sound financial footing for the next century." Now he claims to have a tax plan that will lower taxes.
8) He flip-flopped on abortion; on August 3, he was against funding Planned Parenthood, but on August 11, he wanted to fund the "good works" they do.
9) He flip-flopped on importing Syrian refugees. On September 8, he said, about letting them in, "I hate the concept of it but on a humanitarian basis with what's happening you have to." On September 9, he changed his mind.
10) Trump (1) quit the Republican Party in 1999, saying, "I just believe the Republicans are just too crazy right" and registered as a Democrat; (2) reregistered as a Republican in 2009; then (3) changed again in 2011 to Independent; then (4) switched yet again to Republican. ."

This is important!

Trump’s entire case, for instance, is propelled by the notion that a single (self-identified) competent, a strong-willed president, without any perceptible deference to the foundational ideals of the nation, will be able to smash any cultural or political obstacles standing in the way of making America Great Again.

It's Beyond Time For A Cold-Eyed Look At Trump's Record
After spending an entire week discussing the Cruz citizenship issue, can’t we have a debate over whether we’ve properly vetted the frontrunner on some of the critical issues facing our nation?

In the last GOP debate, when Trump was making his birther claims about Cruz, Trump mentioned there would be lawsuits...but that HE wouldn't do it.
I didn't believe a word of it then, and this morning my suspicions were confirmed.
""Trump said he'll consider filing his own lawsuit challenging Cruz's eligibility to be president based on his birth.
"Maybe I'll talk to them about it," Trump said. "I'd like to talk to Ted about it, see how he'd feel about it -- 'cause you know, when I file suits, I file real suits.""
Guess that NY values comment made Trump upset enough that he's going back on what he said at the debate.
He knows he won't beat Cruz straight up, so instead he's hoping the courts will do him a favor and make Cruz ineligible.
And honestly...based on the liberal tilt of the court...I would not be too naive or cocky to think that the court will either toss the suit or rule in Cruz's favor.
Cruz could lose if challenged in court. Not because of the law, IMO he meets the requirements; but because he's a genuine threat to liberals, Dems and the establishment.
