People sure get the wrong idea when you start asking questions on topics which are full blown not your business. Preach the Word, and if someone is doing something that "GOD" doesn't think is cool, then HE will deal with it through the preaching, the teaching, and conviction.

No it doesn't.
In the Bible, there is a clear command for Christians to gather together.
There is not a clear command for the other stuff entailed in the word, "standards".
It doesn't add to the Bible to say Christians should gather together in worship and fellowship.
It DOES add to the Bible to teach that facial hair is the sign of a proud man who is not saved.

Standards are good if supported by scripture. If not supported they are only personal convictions or opinions.

Most JUNK taught as standards are not supported by scriptures or the scriptures are twisted to support the legalism. However, I am also convinced that most (if not all) of the proponents for "standards" are so out of a fear and love for God. They don't mean harm, only good.
