Because trilingual messages were common in the ancient world. The most famous is the Rosetta Stone, which is written in Greek, Demotic, and Hieroglyphs. These were the common languages of Hellenized Egypt. But no one argues for hours whether or not Ptolemaic Egypt spoke Greek, as well as Demotic Egyptian. It is harder for Hebrew Onlyists to fathom that Jesus spoke Greek. How the Greek documents of the New Testament had to be originally penned in Greek, and that for them to be in Aramaic, would of been of little use to their DIASPORA Judean and Roman Gentile audiences. Jesus speaking to Peter in Matthew 16:18 would make no sense in Hebrew or Aramaic because it is a Greek play on words.

The reason why any trilingual message was used in Ancient times was to show the popular COMMON languages of the people. Two of the languages were Gentile. Because the population was under Greek, Roman occupation for hundreds of years. The Middle East was so Hellenized and Romanized that they were basically Greeks in kipas.
