Does any of the US citizens make laws? We vote for representatives to stand in for us and our values.

That's the problem. The CR vote their values. You can't force your values on other people. People want to reference OT scripture to justify making laws to force people in follow their values. But the NT does exist and Jesus never did that!

Vote the Constitution. Why can't people understand that?

Work and you don't trust God for provision.
Get an education, you are depending on man's wisdom instead of God.
The list could go on and on.

Homosexuals do not vote their values? Of course they do. They vote for candidates who stand in their corner. This is like saying I can vote for people who represent myself, but you don't need to vote for someone who represents you. If every thing is done accordingly to the constitution we can say we have done it to ourselves. The problem is the executive branch seems to be making decree's on law and that is not the way things are supposed to work.
Things may be fine to some right now, but wait until something is knocking on your door. Democracy is slowly slipping away. The government is changing from being ruled by the people to ruling the people. I am not worrying about this too much either way (God will provide). It just puzzles me that some Christians seems to celebrate the fall of our nation and the rise of a humanistic dictatorship that does not care about the people our forefathers established it to protect.

Re: The Christian Right
Value #1 love God- honor the way God made you male or female
Value #2 love neighbor- Biological men should not go into woman's bathroom because it causes discomfort and possibly fear to the other person.
We are being bigoted over these two values. Friend I don't want another man to see my wife in the bathroom. Women go into the bathroom for different reasons and no matter how a man identifies, I have a problem when that comes in contact with the women that I love.

It's because the majority of American Christians have been brainwashed in a government-sponsored and controlled indoctrination center, called 'public school'. 30 minutes a week in a 'Sunday school class' with pizza and muppets simply cannot compete with 6-8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 180 plus days a year of solid humanistic antiChrist indoctrination for 12-13 years (and that's just to graduate high school).
Add to that the constant media barrage (news, movies, newspapers, magazines, books, etc) from the controlled, managed, humanist antichristian propaganda outlets. Then take all these brainwashed 'Christians', put them in charge of churches and seminaries, and no matter what they do they will be imparting a humanistic mindset to future generations of believers.
Until Christians UNPLUG from the brainwashing, get the kids out of the public schools and homeschool or at least private school them, things will just continue as they are.
Most "Christians" do not have a Biblical worldview. They have a humanistic worldview with Biblical cliches serving as a facade.

Re: The Christian Right
In my opinion, unless something endangers another's life, liberty, or property.... the government should leave it alone.
I don't think it is the government's business what we do in our bedrooms or with whom we do it.
I don't think it is the government's business to tell us who we can or cannot marry.
While I think abortion is a tragedy, I don't trust the government to make the most difficult decisions regarding life or death as it relates to reproductive health.
In my opinion, the government should be a neutral party, working for the general welfare of all citizens regardless of race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or political affiliation.
Here's what I'd like to see as far as a political agenda:
1.) End unjustified wars and occupation.
2.) Universal healthcare.
3.) Social justice for the poor, vulnerable, and working class.
4.) Curtail corporate power in politics.
5.) Address climate change and support environmental protection & conservation to create a better and cleaner world.
6.) End voter suppression.
7.) Create jobs by rebuilding America.
8.) Strengthen American labor.
9.) Affirm both civil rights and human rights.
10.) End mass criminalization.
