How you consistently miss the point is utterly astounding. WOW WOW WOW.

lol.

It's not about agreeing with me. It's validating YOUR position and relating to us what goes on in your head while your'e going for that passage.

Why a person would quote a passage and not point out how it goes against what you claim we believe, is beyond me. Really, it is. And it's not anything to do with whether you agree with me or not. Do you not realize I considered these passages when I made conclusions on issues they relate to? So, for the life of me, I do not know what you think of them when you use them and offer no explanation of why.

Can you imagine a debate where a difference in beliefs is the focus, and all one person does it quote scripture and doesn't point out how it shows the other viewpoint to be in error, and the other person in the debate quotes passages and explains the reason he quotes it in reference to the point of the debate?

Quote:
Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.

which part of this verse is giving you a problem, Mike?
None of it. It's not the bible I have a problem with. I love it all. But how does it fit the chat, is the question I keep asking you on that and anything else you quote. What part about explaining how a verse applies do you not understand? How does it go against what you think I believe?

Quote:
32For God has imprisoned all in disobedience, so that He may have mercy on all.

please glorify us with your heavenly explanation of this verse, since it apparently is in some code that only you can understand.
I know what I think of that. The question is how do you reason it out? No one knows until you explain it.

Quote:
29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

8Your message is to be sound beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about us.

bam explain to me how any context is being violated when i post these, and suggest that they describe you, being as how i am so clueless.

goodbye Mike
Typical. Bolting again.

Now, are you willing to discuss the point and the core reason for this offshoot? The cross?
It's not about people? How demented can you be? It is all about people--i would track down the Scripture that tells you that the letter will cease to be, but you would just twist it into some incomprehensible yack anyway--and i would discuss Christ's Cross with Crowley over you, btw.

And you started this thread, elder.

And while this is surely impenetrable to you also, there was no "question that should not be" until you opened your sick pie-hole and started making retarded statements that you cannot back up with Scripture or common sense, elder.

Here it goes again.

It's about people alright. Calling them demented. You cannot remain objective can you?

And you have yet to realize "the letter" is contrasted from His Word. Seriously...

Seriously, you need to first get a grip on yourself, and then get a grip on the bible. You lack basic awareness of what the Law and the word are, and totally contradict your own words of alleged insistence that the cross alone saves with your perversion of what the good samaritan was all about, along with something about women being saved by the work of bearing children, and simply are closed minded against so much as discussing actual scripture. When you do finally quote it, you leave it as is without any reasoning provided as to why you think it defeats views that oppose your own, and when urged to actually explain it, you say Goodbye.

I really don't think you actually see you're playing a game. That would be more horrific. But I give you the benefit of the doubt that you do.

Yeah, and you still never addressed the initial point and question.

Well, it's here again. full-blown personal insults. It always gets back to that, doesn't it? And you can't see why I repeatedly ask you to keep this objective and keep it about belief and doctrine and stop making it about persons.

All that I've ever done was back up my beliefs with scripture, since I got those beliefs from scripture. And my reasoning does make sense. All see it but you. But you just have to keep it personal so you can eventually insult me to the dirt.

Cut to the chase.

The cross. Salvation cannot occur without it. How can you say people who profess salvation by works cannot be lost?

Simple question. Deal with it.
This and only this issue will get to the core reason of the monstrous canyon that stands between our views. Keep running around the peripheral. That goes no where.

you maybe got some quotes this time to back up your yack, "elder?" Or are you still just talking to hear yourself? And everyone but me adores you and your ego? You are kidding, right? Wanna take a poll, "elder?" Cuz you didn't do so well in the last one, did you? But you cant even see that, can you? You have yourself convinced that you are somehow waaay ahead of some little game here, huh?

How 'bout we do a little counting on who has been the most insulting here? You think you're ahead in that game, took more high road than me, or something? You're kidding yourself, elder, as usual.

Just going by what you said. But alas, the insults continue.

Have a good night.

but as a side thought, when you say good-bye and then post more posts, and I comment noting my thoughts that you left, and you respond saying thinking is not my high point.... that explains why words in the bible really mean nothing to you, if your own words mean nothing.

I've said I'd stop and started chatting again, but I never accused someone who thought I was finished by an insult mocking their intelligence about what I initially said.

Anyway, carry on.

Exaggerate much?

Keep making it about me. If I repeat this enough, you just might see the point it's not about people so as to avoid your type of insults, but beliefs and interpretations of the word.

But you're obviously blinded to anything I might add. Someone else will have to explain what I mean now.
