oh, c'mon, you understood his intent. Lots of people equate GOP with God, even if they would not put it that way. It is disingenuous to be so heavily invested in the state--if any of my Qs to you were relevant--and say otherwise imo. You say "exaggerated" but the politics threads are overwhelming here, at an Apostolic forum whose inhabitants supposedly eschew tv
i think "rampant" might be at least plausible wadr.
Don't know of any who believe this way. Ridiculously exaggerated.
Really? I know plenty of Christians who think the GOP is the "political party for Christians".
As a former precinct chairman and delegate to county, as a supporter of the GOP since Reagan (even as a kid), as a Christian for about 23 years, I can say "many Christians think the GOP is the GOD party" with no exaggeration whatsoever.
ah, Sikh's believe in Belial?...is he the god of reincarnation or something? You know, it is given for a man to live once, but there is some wiggle room there, as the spirit goes back to God, and the soul lives on...the only real Scriptural admonition we have is not to teach reincarnation--which i have not been able to find again, read it years ago--but anyway i dunno, they believe in One God, i guess, so belial seems maybe a bit...divisive? Kind of like letting a Sikh open prayer in a "Christian" country
don't get me wrong, i agree with Hou, but i am suspicious of any fascists presenting unity. Instead of all who might desire participating in a solemn invocation to God, nothing to see here, we have...exotic? monotheists generating "news" articles about it for general consumption in the mass media, read "Christians."
Wonder what the Sikhs think? hmm...
"These are the people we want to reach the most. Their base (mmm-hmm)are the people most likely to commit a hate crime against us. Imagine a hateful white youth who is fed up with terrorists and thinks..."
"After the pledge of allegiance (of course; might be circling in on belial after all) and the national anthem, Ms Dhillon took the stage..."
Your last quote there is funny. Really, I smiled at it.
I referred to the scripture not to say Sikhs are worshippers of Belial, but to point out that Christians will not and never have succeeded by compromise with other religions. That's just an historical - and biblical - fact.
I admire Sikh culture for a lot of things, actually, but I also understand that every "true religion" must be non inclusive by definition, otherwise it will die out.

Ask any Sikh.
you make a great case here for abandoning religion, and seeking the narrow path.
I will say that I do believe that the democrat party has driven God out, hates God and does everything in their power to thumb their collective noses at God.
As a Christian, I could never vote for a democrat because in my mind they are in league with SATAN.
Yea I said that and I meant it.
As for the repbulicans, they haven't done that yet so they are the party that Christians can be part of. but its not the "Christian party" its just the party that doesn't hate God.
