How to win against your spiritual enemy?

As Christians, we have our ultimate enemies which is the world, the flesh and the devil. We will never win a certain fight without knowing our foes.

THE WORLD


The whole world lies in the power of the wicked one (1 John 5:19). The system of this world is based in selfishness, greedy, pleasure, selfish ambition, pride, lusts and evil desires. And the enemy’s world system includes news media, world kingdoms, entertainment, business, education, religion, and politics. But fear not "For whatever is born of God overcometh the world". You can overcome the world. You are victorious!

THE FLESH


Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then that are in the flesh cannot please God (Romans 8:7-8).

When I was converted, I have so many struggles against the works of my flesh which is the sinful nature inside me. At first, I don’t understand why I don’t do the things I like to do but instead I do the things I don’t like to do; it’s like there’s a war within me. Brethren, when you are suffering from this, you are not alone because Paul has the same frustrations as well like you and me. Paul describes in the book of Romans, the Christian’s agony against our sinful flesh. As Christians, you desire to serve God within your mind, to do what is right but your flesh (human nature) won’t cooperate. Yes, there is an enemy but there is also a provided defense so you need not to worry.
You can be victorious against the works of your flesh, the Bible provides defense against your enemy.

THE DEVIL

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
(1 Peter 5:8)

The Scripture is your blueprint. It will show you and guide you on how to be victorious on Satan’s devices. You are blood bought; he will never win against God’s anointed, against the Lord’s children. You are a child of God; he never wins against you unless you would allow Him. The enemy will going to play your life only if you will allow him.
