Got out and about the last couple of days. Billboards blown out, business signs blown out, fences down, trees down, barns down. Just a lot of debris and devastation. This is going to get very costly, considering the areas affected.
Talked to a friend who had roof and window damage. She said the adjusters are coming out, but they wonder if they can meet their deductible.
It's just a mess for those that were, really, unprepared and didn't think this would happen. We prepared a few years ago by removing some trees that we knew would give us some trouble. My lovely maple tree in the back yard survived with only one small branch broken. I love that tree!
Anyway, continuing in prayer for all those affected.

Things can be rebuilt, thankful he and his family are safe. So many having to start over, rebuild, relocate, and their whole way of life has forever changed. Yet, when we have the Lord, there is hope still in the worst of it all. This earth is not our final home, and it helps in the midst of sorrow and heartache to know and believe that.
It will be a long and costly cleanup... but the hearts of the people of Texas are strong, it can be done.
Glad your house survived without any damage, and that forethought and planning on your part kept things intact. Oh, I do love maple trees! We have planted several around our yard, and their leaves are now starting to turn. It is a glorious sight to see.

Amen! Our hope in the Lord is a steadfast rock to lean on, no matter what storms life brings us. Praying for you, EB and Orginalist as this hurricane hurtles towards you.

Just so crazy to see 2 more potential tropical storms/hurricanes that have just developed! Jose out in the Atlantic, and possibly Katia in the Gulf.
Dear Lord have MERCY!

it's a conspiracy website. Basic premise of this site is that these storms are man made. Created by the global elite to keep the sheeple in check.
This guy claims he has 20 years of irrefutable research showing these storms are 100% man-made via "rapid-evaporation". He also claims he's the only one out there with the 'truth'.
Buy his book, so he can keep fighting the globalists, blah blah blah.

Yes, a long an costly cleanup. Americans love helping each other. That's almost the best times in America to me - watching what we do for each other and how much we really care - red, yellow, black and white.
Our roof has been repaired. That was the only minor damage. Yes, I love watching this tree grow.

So...red and yellow, black and white, put'm together and watch'm fight, isn't always true...
