Doing Choir Clinic for Nancy Grandquist

Anyone heard of , know her , heard her speak , sing ?
I haven't been to her church in quite a while. I was suppose to do a one night clinic tonight but i asked if we could postpone it for next monday.

anyhow, they have a good church in the San francisico peninsala

Yep to all of them.

It's been many, many years, but the last time I saw her at GC she did call me by name.

NG was a very big UPC singer back in the 70's and 80's. A tiny woman with a great big voice!!!

Thad, ask her if she remembers when she was about 9 months pregnent back in the mid 1970's doing a revival in Louisiana and the oven in the evangelists quarters exploded and burned her. It was a scary situation.

I have fond memories of that revival because of both her great singing and how funny it looked for this teeny tiny woman who was about 9 months pregnent to be playing a huge accordian and singing so loud. What a voice!

Her and Sharon Haygood were probably the two best UPC female soloists of the 1970's.

If I remember correctly I think that back in the late 1970's Andre Crouch wanted NG to tour with him but she was too holy and loyal to the Ark to do so.

They held many revivals for us in Jonesboro and would be there a few weeks at a time.

It does happen with age, speed or typing instead of slowing down and I'm trying to sign off and leave work - - I haven't been on AFF all day, so it's hard to leave now.......lol!
