What you are stuck on is the English word "money" so you equate it to the stuff you have in your wallet. Everything was measurements, from wine, to sheep, to wheat, to barley, to fish, and finally precious metals, gold, silver, brass, and iron. Their system was different from what we have today, and therefore when someone states that the ancients used wine, milk, and honey as currency, they are referring to the weight and measures of those products. Hence we can understand the meaning of a land FLOWING with milk and MONEY.

Shekel coins date back approximately 4400 years.

What!!!
4,000 year old coin?
Bro, the oldest coins on earth is from Asia Minor from the area of ancient Lydia Λυδία. 2800 years old which aren't actually coins, but round (almost like marbles) pieces of gold and silver. Probably used as...weight.

I'll quote sources when I can. Right now, I'm listening to Brother Riggan.

Former pastor said that if he forgives you- you don’t have to catch up in payment. He also said that if he wanted to spend it all on bubble gum, he could.

Re: Do we have to pay tithes?
I have never heard a pastor or visiting minister say anything like that. I'm not saying you all aren't telling a truth, but it does sound like the beard sin issue thing again.
Who wants to spend money on ice cream and bubble gum? God or the preacher?

Yes, I see what you are trying to say. But you are contradicting your own "holy tithe" teaching in the process. You have no right to "morph" the tithe into something to fit modern times. If you are going to say that part of the Law of Moses still applies, then you are bound to practice , to the letter, as it is written. Please, let go of this Judaistic teaching, It is a prime example of bad hermeneutics.

His point was that he can do what he wants with the money.
