OK I will give my 2 cents.

He was named Jesus as his birth.

But in Acts 2:36 it says that God made him made Lord and Christ.

It is a completeness to pronounce his name along with his titles.

When I sign a check, I do not just use my first name, which would be technically correct, but I also add my last name to differentiate me from all the other people who also have my name.

when you say Jesus, you are not completely indicating him, unless you add his titles.

And we tell trinitarians it has to be in His name not just His titles, and now we are saying it had to be in His name and His titles?

You signing a check doesn't work because you dont sign it Mr. Whatever your last name isn't your title, either that comparison doesn't work. I see the Acts 2:36 reference but i dont agree we need to invoke His name and then the titles also. Some of these answers were seeing show how different in thought everyone amongst us see's even the invocation of the name. And that's not good because were not even coming close to all speaking the same things as it talks of in the book of Acts.

So for those who think baptism in Jesus name MUST include Lord and Christ, consider this. When you PRAY do you always include Lord and Christ? If not why? Do you ever pray to JESUS only?
